Marcus K. Pierre

Marcus K. Pierre was born and raised in New Orleans. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Davidson College in 2013, and earned his Juris Doctorate and Maritime Law Certificate from Tulane University Law School in 2018. During his time at Tulane Law School, Marcus was a member of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition team, as well as the John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Team. He was inducted as a member of the Order of the Barristers for oral advocacy. Marcus earned Best Oral Advocate in the 2017 John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition, was a semi-finalist in the 2017 National Frederick Douglass and 2018 John R. Brown competitions, and won first place in the 2018 Southwest Regional Frederick Douglas Moot Court Competition. Marcus was admitted to the Louisiana bar in 2018 and his practice is focused on Louisiana workers’ compensation and insurance defense.
