Jonathan M. Henneberg was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University in 2020. Jonathan earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University College of Law New Orleans graduating magna cum laude. While in law school Jonathan was a member of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and a writer for the Loyola maritime law blog, The Loyola Current. His comment entitled “Bigger Isn’t Always Better: Why Small, State-Run MPAs are the Answer to Meeting Conservation Goals Effectively” was published in the Winter 2023 edition of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal and was selected for the Advisory Board’s Admiralty Award for Best Comment. Jonathan was also a member of Loyola’s Law Clinic where he served as a Rule XX Student Practitioner for the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s office in the Juvenile Division. As a Student Practitioner, Jonathan was able to try his first bench trial and gain valuable litigation experience.
